Refund & cancellation policy

Eligibility overview

Fees apply to booked advisory time and agreed written deliverables. This policy covers cancellations, rescheduling, no-shows, deposits, and work already started. It does not cover physical goods, software licences, or subscription products, which we do not sell.

Cancellation by you

• Full refund: Cancel a single session at least 48 hours before the confirmed start time, provided no written deliverable has already been prepared.
• Partial refund (50%): Cancel between 48 and 12 hours before the session, or cancel after preparatory reading of your documents has begun but before the live session.
• No refund: Cancel less than 12 hours before the session, or fail to attend without notice (no-show).

Paired engagements and deposits

Nonprofit Leadership Transition Advisory and similar multi-session engagements may require a deposit. The deposit is applied to the final invoice. If you cancel the full engagement before the first session with at least 48 hours’ notice, the deposit is refundable minus any document review already completed at the single-session rate. After the first session has taken place, the deposit is non-refundable; unused later sessions may be rescheduled within 90 days or refunded at 50% if you end the engagement early.

Document review

Once annotated feedback has been delivered, the fee for Application Document Review is non-refundable. If you cancel before we begin reading your files, a full refund applies. If we have started review but not yet sent feedback, a partial refund of 50% applies.

Rescheduling

You may reschedule once at no charge with at least 24 hours’ notice. Further reschedules, or changes inside 24 hours, may be treated as a late cancellation unless we agree otherwise due to illness or employer-imposed interview moves.

Work already started / materials

Custom written action plans and interview question sets prepared for you count as work already started. Time spent preparing them may be deducted from any refund at the proportionate session rate. We do not charge for purchased third-party materials because we do not sell course kits or merchandise.

Cancellation by us

If we must cancel and cannot offer a suitable alternative time within 14 days, you receive a full refund of prepaid fees for the affected session.

Refund method and timing

Approved refunds are returned via the original payment method within 14 business days of approval. Bank processing times may add several days.

Exceptions

Statutory consumer rights under German law remain unaffected where they apply. If a session could not be delivered due to our technical failure on an online call that we could not restore, you may choose a full refund or a free rebooking.
